So I went with the 700-52 on 12s and 11t pinion with jive 80hv. 1700rpm @ 35%, 2150rpm @65%. Good power, and everything came down cool. [emoji4] also 1200rpm @ 100% on 6s, but as expected it is quite weak at that configuration.
It lost quite a bit of headspeed on every flip, so probably it would be better with 12t pinion for that configuration.

why do you think a 12t pinon would keep you from losing some hs during flips? i always thought ywe should decrease the pinion to get there.

Well. I think on 6s with this motor, we are quite powerless, and esc is already at 100% output. We will loose headspeed anyway.
How much we loose because of low power of motor, or since esc can't give more throttle to counteract the rpm drop is the question. If it is a headspeed loss caused by the esc output already at max, the motor may be stronger at lower headspeed during load. There is also a lower limit on headspeed where the model just won't fly, due to no lift or blades folding. You normally want the blades tight in the grips to prevent folding at low rpm, and this is impossible on logo bladegrips. On 11t pinion we have max headspeed around 1230 @ 100% throttle. So I think the lower limit in my setup is about 950-1000 rpm with 12.5 degrees pitch. I can drop about 2-300 rpm before hitting limit. Also as battery gets spent, max headspeed drops. By going with 12t pinion, headspeed would increase to 1340 rpm @ 100%, so maybe more buffersone for esc to catch rpm drop. But sure if low power is problem, a higher gearing may exaggerate the problem. Only way to know is to try.
