Default 690 canopy

Hi,

I am eager to buy a 700 size machine. Logo 690 is my choice.

But.......no 690 canopy other than the original...it's boring.....!!

Do you think so ???

My favorite canopy is the discontinued Neon Red one that came with the 6003D. I wish they would bring it back

You can run a standard 600 canopy on a 690. Just don't use the box under the frame

Not all 5000 packs fit.
And if you do get them in there they might be nose heavy.

I use Glacier 45C 5000mAh 6s from BuddyRC, so far they've worked great. I actually have to slide them forward about an inch or so to get the COG just right, other than that they work fine!

How much space do you have between the pack and the Counter Bearing Support?

Once they are strapped down it's close to 10mm at the closest point.

It just makes the frame taller and more visible.

It also raises the tail boom so the longer tail blades are less likely to scrape. Probably not the design goal, but a side benefit.

Personally I think it looks better with the chassis box and stock canopy than it would ever look with a custom canopy and no chassis box. But to each his own.

I would try reaching out to Heli-Center-Berlin, Fusuno, and Canomod to see if any of them are working on 690sx shells.

I thought the same thing about the canopy being a little plain but once I got my new 690sx and saw it...I love it!

Sorry friend. Give it a little time and Mikado will release some additional schemes for the 690sx. Can't promise you will want them either, but I'm certain there will be options.
