I was reading in the RC Groups thread that Corrado had said the 13T & 14T pinions would be available the week of January 12.

Any word? Corrado?

Hmm, that would be a pretty small diameter for the belt to be ripped around
I don't think I would be keen to go that small
Can you change your cell count or use a motor with a different KV?

The stock motor is 800kv, and I don't know of anything lower kv other than the uber-expensive Kontronic Kora. Dropping voltage would work, but that increases the amp draw and makes everything run hotter and with lower efficiency. Re-gearing is the preferred option.

I'm running 1210kv, 4S, 16T pinion and my battery is comming home cooler than my friends on 6S (but yes, I am sinking more current, running 100% throttle)

I'd be interested in trying a higher kv / lower cell count, but I'm flying mine on A123 so you really need to stay high(er) voltage to get decent flight times due to the lower cell capacity.

It's always a trade-off.

Corrado said in this forum the first batch will be a few weeks ago. I haven't seen it anywhere yet.

The fair is 5th -10th of February. So, I'd expect 7-10 days after that for the pinions to show up at retailers.
