I just trimmed one of my transparency canopy's and it weights in at 3.3 grams. I just did a real rough trim so once I clean it up it will prob be down to 3 grams and after I add a few dabs of ca I'm hoping it weights around 4 grams.

Cool, I had a thought of using acitate myself. Let us know how it turns out.
I have a couple glued together but gonna wait until I do a few more to take pics.
Still trying to decide if I want to throw $20 on those chicken skids or not also.
There is two pair left on ebay...

I really like them but I think for $20 I can get some blades and spindles and tailbooms and landing gears.
I can't afford this hobby anymore haha.
These cheap canopies are perfect. Time consuming and free! And you get to assemble them.
I'll never buy a canopy for my MCPX with these good looking paper folds.
That would just be a waste!
The paper canopies here are much nicer.

Yeah tommy show us some pics when you get done, transparencies seem like a sweet idea.
I agree Casey, I will never by another MCPX canopy.
Big props to CyLLlKA for all his work in the 3d and initial designs, and mfedasiuk for going nuts and creating tons of designs.

Question

Could someone explain how to fold it? I can't understand what to do, theres dashed lines, dotted lines, solid lines, and the shaded in area (for the original templates). How exactly do you go about making these?

Default I finally got my TDR! Haha!

Don't think I can use these skids for flight though... Crash too much to replace such purty $20 skidz.

Wow, I really like the design of this one! I just made it out of plain paper to test and it looks amazing but how would I go about changing the red to yellow?

post #82 page 9. I can't seem to quote it...

The .jpg I posted was at 300dpi so should be very sharp for print.....also check back on this thread a page or 2 back someone discovered why they were originally having trouble printing the texture maps and figured out the solution to make them print clear for you.
