Servos all work, but won't go up with positive collective??
Hopefully this has not already been covered but multiple searches didn't help. I've tried rebinding the hell to the remote but it didn't help. Its a stock, brushed MCPX with the DX4E transmitter. It seems to spool up to the proper rpm but as you go past mid stick the motor bogs down because the pitch never changes from the full negative collective the hell has when the motor starts up. Basically, the 3 servos don't move with the throttle stick inputs. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

You need a six channel radio to operate your mcpx. Channel 6 is used for pitch control. So you mcpx isn't getting the signal for the pitch adjustment.

A shot in the dark, perhaps...
Has your mCPX ever been bound to a digital radio? If so, you'll need to do the analog binding procedure to allow it to "see" the DX4e signals |

Main gear slipped down the shaft? Push it back up.

I think Jonjet may have it right Here are the directions to bind the DX4e in case that is your problem. 1. Disconnect the flight battery from the helicopter. 2. Power off the transmitter and move all switches to the 0 position. 3. Connect the flight battery to the helicopter. The 3-in-1 Control unit LED flashes after 5 seconds. 4. Push in on the trainer switch or button while powering on the transmitter. 5. Move the rudder control stick to full left after the transmitter LED lights flash twice. 6. Release the trainer switch/button. Continue to hold the rudder control stick to full left until the blue LED on the 3-in-1 control unit is solid. 7. Release the rudder control stick. 8. Push in on the trainer switch/button. The blue LED on the 3-in-1 control unit flashes to confirm the helicopter is in non-computer mode. 9. Disconnect the flight battery and power the transmitter off. Hope it gets you going. |

Thanks for the help guys. The gear is already up on the shaft -the issue is the servos don't move up when you go positive collective. Ronj - thanks for posting the DX4E binding procedure. I'll try this and get back with yawl

Ok, so I reminded according to the instructions below. Interestingly though, the transmitter LED's don't stop flashing after two blinks and when I move the rudder stick to the left it doesn't make any difference. It still seems to bind in computer mode. Therefore, the same problems persist.
On another note, when the rotors spool up the motor will kick on and off intermittently. The Blue LED turns on and off simultaneously. Could a weak battery be causing all this?

Weak battery perhaps...or the power cable has a break or cold solder joint

Has it been crashed, especially on a hard surface? Might be 'failure to bind' caused by a cracked receiver chip vibrating off the board as it spools up.

JonJet - I just put a brand new Nano Tech battery in it but it didn't help. Medic - It has slapped hard surfaces repeatedly. In fact, I'm surprised it lasted this long. Is there a place I can buy a receiver chip? I'm pretty good at soldering and could probably handle the repair if parts are available.
I called tech support at HH and the gentleman helped me make sure I was binding it properly but ended up recommending a new 3-N-1 and new motor.

Thanks again, JonJet - this will most likely be the route we take!

You will find that after binding to a computer transmitter it may take many tries to get
the helicopter to bind to your DX4e. Do yourself a very big favor! Get yourself a better transmitter! You can find used DX6i transmitters under $100.00 Then https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=506789
