Default DS-16: Mode 1 vs Mode 2

Are there different Mode 1 and Mode 2 versions of the DS-16? According to espritmodel (http://www.espritmodel.com/jeti-dupl...try-radio.aspx), the mode can be changed between 1/2/3/4.

However, this page has two different models: http://www.puffinmodels.com/category.php?dept=202 - and it says " Do not attempt to change this from Mode 2 to Mode 1".

I have no idea why Puffinmodels would say not to change it. I have seen the radio and seen how you change the modes. This radio unlike any other I've seen is built for a modeler to do what you want it to do. There are videos on youtube that shows how to change out the gimbals so you can mechanically change things quite easily.

I guess they have no clue! ;-)

So it can be switched using the same method as with the DC-16? The DC-16 manual explains how to do it, so clearly it can be done on DC-16.

It would be nice to see the DS-16 manual. I don't think it's available anywhere.

The dc-16 manual is also the ds-16 manual. So, I guess that instructions for changing the mode apply to both transmitters.
