I'm going nuts waiting for the REX line of Rx. I'm actually starting to look at the V-control. I have the Jeti, have Jlog, have Spirit, but no dual EX pathway to use it all the way I want.

Then just order one from Europe. Switching to vcontrol over that doesn't make much sense.

Going nuts here too since I'm not buying anymore receivers till the REX hit the market. I can tell you they exist, seen with my own eyes[emoji15] ... just waiting for FCC approval.

V-control is a simple solution for "capacity consumed" telemetry and transmitter based tuning. I want both. Right now, Jeti doesn't have that in the US. I'm trying to be patient and wait for the FCC approval and a domestic source to buy one but I just was letting off a little frustration.

The more I read about the Neo, the less I want ANY Mikado electronics. I'm patiently awaiting those REX receivers just like you guys and pondering completely switching over the Spirit as well.

Don't forget that soon Jeti will give you the option of integration with multiple fbl units of your choice. You won't just be tied into Mikado.

The Vcontol is an innovative and great unit, but I believe as soon as we have the REX receivers and the fbl companies finish their integration, we will have more flexibility than Vcontrol. Particularly if you fly planes and multirotors as well.

I know, I just get all itchy and impatient. I love the idea of Bavarion demon, Spirit and Ikon all being available from the DS-16. Heck, I love my DS-16. Plus the telemetry my Jlog and Kosmik give is exceptional.

I'm just yelling into the void, hoping a REX 7 comes back out, LOL.

Yeah, I've heard BD is working on their integration but Spirit interests me more right now as they seem to be improving their product very quickly and allegedly their unit already has that 'natural' but precise feeling like the vbar.

Ikon would be interesting but I don't think their hardware QC is anywhere near the same level as BD and Spirit.

I've switched everything to Spirit. You won't regret the decision. The feel is similar to vbar without the ridiculous pricing and with the amazing rescue. The Jeti integration is fantastic for tuning quickly at the field, although it is so close out of the box that most tuning has just been for me to have something to play with. On my Goblin 700 with Mezon I'm hooked up using UDI so I still get my Mezon telemetry and haven't touched it from the bench setup. Don't feel much need to, it flies great, although it'll get a REX the second they are available.

I too love my DS-16 and wouldn't switch, but I have to say that the battery ID and logging feature of VControl is pretty cool. I with Jeti would implement something like that. It would take several steps out of my battery logging process after flying.

I just received my REX6 (only for use in Europe) and the antenna are only 4" long each.. Much shorter than my R3/RSW.. May not be an issue, but curious if this is going to be the same for REX7?

Shorter or longer antenna does not make a difference in so far as the signal you are getting since only the yellow part is the receiving active end.

It does make a difference in so far as ease of installation. Longer antennas will give you more options for antenna placement depending on your set up. With the shorter antennas you might have to be more careful with the Rx placement,

It looks like the REX7 has the longer 200mm antennas.

Damn... Stupid me never even thought to look prior to ordering

Oh well, lesson learned. I'm fairly confident it won't be an issue on the Goblin 500, will just have to be careful like you said.

Nice to know the REX7 will have the 8" vs 4" antennas though

I actually got a REX 6 specifically because of the short antenna length. Much easier to fit into the model.

The 'old' R6 also had a short antenna variant that I still use.

Should be a good match for those neat little antenna mounts that Mikado released.
