Default Helifreak Exclusive - Swift Build Videos!

Many thanks to Century Heli's for sending me a Swift KIT to build and do build videos!

This looks like it will be fun and I look forward to doing this video build series. As always let me know what you think good and bad!

Anyway the Swift build vids will be posted here:

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=19394

I will post each segment as I complete them. I am projecting to be done this week or early next week "real job" allowing time as needed

Enjoy!
Bob

EXCELLENT Bob!

I do have a request when you get it done, post a pic of the Swift - Trex 600 - Lepton - Trex SE all together so we can get a physical size relationship of the machines.

Your combo is the one I have been looking at so that is an added bonus for me.

I have posted a BUNCH of new vids for those interested.

Man the CCPM on this bird is very different..... I spent an hour doing calculations trying to figure out how to use stock Fuatab servo wheels and getthings right. Int he end... I drilled my own wheels... The "servo wheel" vid might be worth a look to those interested.

Got the maiden flight in Sunday.... Here is the vid
VIDEO -> Maiden flight of the Swift (35 megs)

I have some trimming and other things to adjust plus I want to go Carbon blades and get the head speed up more (I am thinking 2200 would be real good).

I have the swash cyclic set up FULL (e.g. just to the point where the swash would start binding).... Cyclic is BLAZING FAST and even after putting in 30% expo it is clear I need to slow it down some so FF is cleaner.....

All said and done next weekend I should have her completely TUNED and I will share what I did.

This is awesome!! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I'm expecting my kit in the mail this week and as it will be my 1st full heli build I know these videos will be priceless to me.

Got the head together tonight and watched the frame video. I must say your videos make it 100 times easier to put together the heli vs reading the manual. It's nice to have someone who has previous building expierence to show you the best way to do things. Once again, THANKS!

I was thinking... the heli manufactures would do well to hire you to make the videos and then put them with the kits on a DVD. If a company did that it would be a serious cause for people to be more inclined to buy their models vs another.

I have spoken to several manufacturers about this, and I am just shocked how non-interested they are.

Me too Dan!

I think they dont get that E-heli's are drawing a lot of new people and the usual "manual" just doesnt cut it!

Not that I want to make money on this I really dont! I love to do the build vids and all I require is the heli! I always want to kepe this a hobby not a JOB....

Kinda stupid aint it?

I have a question about the measurements of the links you talk about in the head setup video, are these taken end to end or to the center of the ball link hole?

Hope that makes sense.
