SOLD OUT - So of course everyone out there with a 700 wolfed these parts down and those of us with a real issue can't get them. What the heck! I'm sorry but the lack of support here is infuriating.

Give it a few days or a week it'll be everywhere.

Well, it doesn't look as though Align are giving discounts or replacements for faulty product, which is disappointing. However, nothing we didn't really expect to be honest.

On a brighter note my LHS, to their credit, has said they will replace the upgrades for free because they sold a faulty kit to me. Even though it's Aligns issue!!

Now that's customer service
A book Align should perhaps read a few pages of..........

Thank the heli Gods for the core strength of the RC community. If we can't figure it out, no one can.

Does suck especially since the parts prob costed less then $5 to them. At least we got a fix much quicker then i thought was possible.

Hi Dino

Can you tell us if the parts are being suppied as a kit or as singular parts? What are the part codes for these parts/kits.

None of the UK distributors know anything about these new parts, so when will you be releasing them to the UK?

Peter

It's a package with all the parts for the tail. Give it time to get around. Any REAL authorized dealer can order the parts easily through the proper distributors.

Hello Dino

Was just wondering if this hub might be good for me to use.

I have an old V1 700 kit but that did come thru with the updated hub an washer setup for the kit for that time.

But I never did use the tail assembly anyway as went with the QuickUK unit.

But I still have all the original parts other wise and wonder if this hub one, would work with my parts to begin with, and if so and for just your thoughts, am wondering if you think it and with the remaining parts I have would be even better then the QuickUK unit?

That hub does look pretty meaty and for sure want to get those gears on there.

If my parts won't work with this hub, can I just buy the parts that will?

Thanks

Align-Trex.co.uk have told me they will get them in 2 weeks, 'Just in time for Christmas' so fingers crossed, as that's when I'll have the time to build my kit...

+1, I have a v1 as well and would like to know if at least the new tail gears and hub will work with a stock v1?

Dino,

This reference to the new hub removing all the in and out play (I assume on the grips is what you are referring to) is the exact thing I PM'd you about, and you indicated that there should be some play so the thrust bearings could do their job.

This post sounds like exactly what I accomplished by adding that .1mm shim to the stackup on the new V2 tail that I recently purchased. As I indicated in the correspondence we had, it removed all the in and out play, yet left the thrust bearings without any binding. Everything is currently super smooth.

One question, though. I changed out the auto rotation unit on my V2 to the helical drive. Is this setup the same as what is currently running on the DFC version?
