I'm not sure they ever had the rear main gear available... even if they did.. the Revco gears are NOT needed anymore.. Gaui corrected the gear issue by using better plastics. you can check your 42T main gear and see if it has OK stamped on it.. if so, it's a new gear. the 50T and 60T front main gears are all suing the new plastics.

The Revco gears were great at the time, but being mod .6 instead of mod .8 like the Gaui gears, they had even less area for the teeth to mesh.. The key to NOT stripping the gears is having the gear mesh PERFECT. if it's to tight there will be heat build up and you'll smear the gear... to loose and you'll rip the teeth off.

Hope I'll find the answer here =)
Have a problemm with 20t gear on OWB - it cracked a little and now it scrolls on OWB. What if use red loktite? Will it help or it it is not strong enough?

If needed - my set is Z30 1110kv 15-42-20(19 now =( )-61

Zont,

Hi - nice to see another 550 pilot

If the 20T gear has cracked you will need to replace it - loctite will not hold once the gear has cracked - it will keep opening up.

Cheers,
Mike.

Hi, Mikej! =)

Thank you, then I'll send my gear to the trash bin, but I'll keep OWB =)

Btw, yesterday I received my 42T & 61T Delrin gears, going to test them this weekend =) already changed 2 stock 61T gears, hope I will not have such problems with new one
