Hi Rick,

I am moving this to the Futaba Forum. We have some Futaba guys setup to watch the group and help.

Thank you,

The HeliFreak.com Management Team.

If you don't get help in a day or so repost your question in the main forum and it will not be moved.

Gotta give our 9Z guys a chance.

Rick,
I don't know of any problems that would arise using the 5000t gyro with a WC2. I have really only seen a couple of 5000T's and never really looked at them close. Most of the JR pilots I have been around used the GY 601. I haven't seen the new 500T gyro from JR, but I hear from pilots that I know that JR got that gyro right this time.

I may be able to help w/ the 9z- but I know nothing about the gyro. I think I have CY ready to join- maybe he can help. We are trying to find someone at Futaba to help moderate this forum.

Default Gyro

I have one Fury set up with all Futaba. 601/9252's.149. My other Fury i have set up with JR 10sxII and the 5000t. Which has worked really well for me . But i want to put 149 RX in it and run the 9Z on both heli's. And yes after flying the 9Z i am making the switch to Futaba. I love this TX.

The 9Z weighs 10 lbs- it has to be great. Not to mention- after paying the price for one- you have no choice but to love it!!!

You arent kidding there...

But it is an awesome TX once you get your head round it...

There is no reason why the 5000T wont work with the 9Z, but having owned a couple of 5000T's I would not recommend it...

Go for the new 500/601/CSM560... they are far better

I have a 9zwcII and I am trying to put a JR 5000 gyro in my Extreme. I have always used Futaba 501. I know if it ain't broke then take it apart and find out why. Anyway, I plugged the white lead into the gain channel and the gyro will cycle and then go to one extreme and stay there. Any ideas on what or where the third plug goes and what are relative gains?

Thanks in advance.

Default JR5000T/9Z

I hooked up my 5000T to my rx in channel 5. No matter what i done i could not get the gyro to work properly. After trouble shooting this combo for a while i rembered that this gyro is kind of funny about channels even on JR TX's. So i plugged the gyro into AUX 2 and this configuration ROCK's. The gyro is locked in and fly's great!
For those of you that are going to use this combo, As i said earlier, i plugged the gain plug into AUX 2. Set the AUX 2 value to 35 % and i run the gyro in HH all the time and do not use a switch. If in HH the rudder wants to go to one extreme just click the Sub Trim a click or two the opposite way til the gyro servo centers. Remember the 5000T will recenter after any rudder input on the bench in HH.
