Default Felt clunk with regulated engine?

Today my engine kept dying on punch outs. Super rich seemed to help, but no power. The only difference is that I was flying with a felt clunk installed.

BTW I have a header tank installed also.

Hmmm. Flying YS 91sr in my 700N and using Lynx MOAS. It's very much like a felt material element. So issues so far as I can tell. Flies it down to vapors in the tank too. The Lynx core has a very long slot which functions as the intake. No idea how this compares to yours.

I'm leaving brand out (). I think my issue is two styles of clunks in the same system.

Like, as in one has more pressure drop than the other?

When I was pulling fuel out the header emptied halfway then the main started draining. My 105 was also hot, which is rare. I've gone back to two conventional clunks.

I like these in my header tank setup:

They filter the fuel, seem to virtually eliminate bubbles, and have been zero issue so far in my X50/YS60sr. Running one in both tanks.

Problems came and went with the felt clunk, probably some flow differential issue. Somebody else can experiment, I don't like unplanned autos.
