Default Trex 500 Pro EFL/DFC questions?

I have seen the ESP airframe with the Mini Pyro 400-14. However, I haven't seen the newer Pro EFL or DFC with one. Anyone flying one of these with a Mini Pyro?

Also, the only bad thing I have heard about the DFC version is that in a crash the DFC links can cause a lot of damage. Are there carbon or plastic anti-rotation brackets available?

I have both heads and tails for an EFL and DFC. Looking for pros and cons on this as well.

DFC likes higher headspeed and hard dampers. So depending on what you intend, either can work for you. For your tail, I would recommend that you use the dual arm slider, but I don't have any hard evidence that it's actually better.

I purchased the heli with nanotech 2650 35c and pulse 2600 45c packs. The heli doesn't seem to balance well on the bench with these. It's a little tail heavy. I was hoping to save some weight with these vs. 3000 - 3300 packs. I will test fly this week and see. Looking for others experience with 2600/2650 vs 3000 and 3300 packs.

I use 3000 and 3300mah packs with my 500. It has plenty of pop for me. I know that people do run 2650mah packs to lighten the heli for quick 3D. I think you need to just keep moving the pack forward until you get the balance right. You can also try moving your ESC/BEC farther forward. If your tail servo is boom mounted, then you can do a frame modification to mount it in the frame. It's not too hard to do - you just need to de-conflict the boom mount and servo mount locations.

I have the lipo as far forward as will still fit inside the canopy. I'm not running a separate BEC. But I have a Talon 90 on the side. I will see if it can move forward a bit. The gyro may level it in flight, but I would much rather try to get the CG right.

Yep, you definitely want the CoG as close as you can get it.
