Any idea why I would get an error 20 when attempting to charge a TP 8s 5000? Same balance connectors work fine on my 6s 1350 TPs. Brand new charger, brand new packs

Are you sure you have the correct wiring mode setup? I think the green PC board is an FMA balance board that uses the FMA wiring, while the black board you have may be the other mode. If so, you need to change the wiring mode in the options when you turn the charger on.

At least it is that way on my Powerlab 6.

Yes. I have changed the wire mode in the software from FMA to XH and back when trying both boards. Its wierd because I can get both boards to charge the 6s packs so it's hard for me to think something is wrong with the boards.

I just got off the phone with thunder power and talked them through the issue and they don't know. They say everything sounds right. The charger is not seeing the cells.

I just emailed FMA but have not heard back yet.

I think it's unlikely that I got 2 bad packs but I don't know.

The black balance board cannot work for an 8s pack, it's a 6s balance board. Just count the number of wires on the balance board. You always need one more wire than the number of cells in series. To balance 6s you need 7 wires and to balance 8s you need nine wires. The green FMA board should work in FMA wiring mode. Do you have a cell checker you can use to verify you're seeing voltage on each node wire on the pack?

Yes. Each cell is as follows

3.8
7.6
11.4
15.3
19.1
22.9
26.8
30.6

Pack 2 has identie numbers

But now I'm looking at this board and the revolecrtix web site and I think this board only supports 6s for TP packs

I double checked and the green safe parallel adapter you have (I have a few myself) will only charge TP 2s-6s. Looks like this is an option, but personally, I cannot recommend this product/vendor.
