Default Discharging concerns

I recently bought a Powerlab 8x2 charger and I really like it so far. The other day I had to discharge two 6s 5000mah packs and noticed that the charger got extremely hot during the discharge. I have had many other chargers and never experienced any of them getting this hot during a discharge. Is this normal for the Powerlab chargers? Is there something I should be worried about? I know heat is a killer for electronics and I would hate to destroy this charger.

Certainly nothing to be concerned about. The temperature is closely monitored by the charger. I've discharged fully charged 6s 4400mAh packs to storage voltage and it's got warm, but certainly nothing I'd consider extremely hot.

The charger has a high temp thermal protection that will shut off the discharge cycle if it gets too hot.

The DPL has two channels supporting 95 watts each. Most other charger have only a half to a quarter of that capability. Less discharge power=less heat.

The heat sinks are oversized. During the beta, I attempted to reach thermal shutdown running back to back maximum discharges for several hours. The unit's face will get warm. But its not an issue as long as there is proper venting.

The air input is from the bottom and the fans vent out the back. If you install the charger in a case make sure air can come in through the bottom and that air coming out of the fans does not recirculate back into the charger.
