Why is PayPal making you return it?

I asked for a partial refund through PayPal as agreed since he kept the ESC, BEC and Motor. I received only one one reply from the seller accusing me of getting him banned from HF.

I waited a while and then sent a couple more messages using the PayPal dispute system.

After not hearing anything, I escalated it to a claim, once gain only asking for the partial refund, and stated my case. The seller had until today to respond but PayPal decided yesterday that a total return and refund would be best.

They asked me to return the item to the seller for a refund. So, reluctantly, I removed all electronics, took the frames apart and rebuilt the frame with the V1 set I removed.

I then got today's newspaper, put it next to all the pieces and took photos of the heli before packing, during packing and after it was all boxed up. Better than it arrived to me I might add....I got it in a box, literally. The tail boom was removed and the canopy removed and put in a box. No packing foam, bubble wrap, newspaper, nothing. By some miracle, it arrived in good shape. Go figure.

Not messing around, it's going back FedEx Express. It's not about the money at this point, it's about the principle....I'm not going away on this.

I also paid for a public records search so I have the personal information of the individual and contact info, address confirmation, etc. mostly to make sure this person exists and lived at the stated address.

I paid $550 for an airframe, BEC, ESC and motor....what I received was a Logo 600SX V1 airframe, missing a few minor parts, but to be expected with a used airframe thrown into a cardboard box.

For $120 more I can get a brand new V2 from Mikado so I will do that. I already have the rest of the electronics which I bough before the helicopter originally arrived.

What a pain....

Update.....

Full refund from PayPal. Never did hear from the seller again.

Bought a new Logo 600SE as well as parts to convert to SX. Looking forward to both....!

This person literally has a mental issue no joke. It's not at all normal to persue something like this to this point.

This guy shows up about once a month. Unfortunately guys will keep falling for the game, he just makes a new account every so often and scams people.

Hopefully someday he gets board and goes away or the law catches up with him.

The days of buying off of a new member are over. A handfull of people ruin it for everyone like everything else.

Make sure the person has been around a year at least.

A 3 year old account with 10 total posts is just as sketchy.
