Default Release date for new 90 ???

I heard that MA is making a new 90n. If this is true does anyone have an estimation when. Is it going to be 2011. I am very interested in a 90n and would love to try MA. I know they have older models btw but i like the newer style birds. Even if its not an official date let me know your opinion of when you think. thanks

The best I can say for now is we are shooting for the first half of 2011. I wish I could get more specific than that but there are many factors which have to fall in to place before a release can happen.

There is a gas version planned. I talked to a guy at MA and he said they are looking at engines to replace the Zenoah?

If you could design the same heli as furion 6 but in 700 class, you will make a killer!!!!! add a torque tube, and for the others parts just the same but bigger!!!! If you do that, I will pre order immediately!!!!!!!

Dear MA,

Any chance you could describe a bit more about the upcoming 90? For example, eCCPM? Flybarless version? Torque tube? Carbon frame? Painted canopy? Is it a scaled up Fury 55? etc.

Thanks. Well, sorta-thanks, now the wait is even more painful. Still manufactured in the USA, correct?

Quite a few of you are quite eager - and excited no doubt! and very much understandable

But, the guy's at MA are going to make sure that everything is to there usual highest standard! When the time is right they will produce more details

Yeah, just helps to know whats on the horizon when one is shopping for a 90 size helicopter. No offense to the Avant guys who make a great heli and are good people, but they really fall short (in my eyes and checkbook at least) when it comes to delivering thier product. I find they are not worth my time with having to face such a long waitlist from retailers. Absurd, really. Not implying MA is similar though, in fact quite the opposite. I don't even own a MA heli (yet) and I'm a fan already. It's just nice to know if the new 90 is a more contemporary design as compared to the current Stratus, and therefore worth the wait.

Honestly I just hope its belt driven. I don't care what anyone says belt driven is sooo much better. Those TTs look nice but they are nothing but trouble. They break and introduce vibes into the system. They also create a whole bunch of failure points. On the other hand the belt is so easy and if you get the good light tan kevlar belts that don't stretch...your golden. And as far as this whole parasitic drag thing I don't buy into that. Just an excuse to fault a better system in favor of an over complex solution. aka solution to problem that didn't exist.

Oh i just read the post that says it is going to be TT. Not a deal breaker. I still can't wait. I am in the market for a 90 for this season. I want this to be the one. Its just so hard waiting with no pics. No test vids. I hope its out before like September

Don't get MA's TT system mixed up with other more complicated systems, it's proberbly the simperlist system out there at the mo.
Mine has been working fine for 2 years and im sure theres other people out there with older systems that still work fine.

How can it be the simplest?
TT systems are all pretty much the same, although quality does vary.
I am just building another quality heli and it's TT system is pretty much the same as my X-Cell/Fury/Stratus.

The crown gear, bevel gear combination removes lots of parts meaning it's more efficent than other more complex systems involving Jack shafts and front bevel gear boxes. This system is of course used by other companys hence the Proberbly.
