Yes, better do that.

If you are lucky with the MX motors you might get away without but it's rather a longshot, I suggest running KSA mode.

trial and error, some works fine others not, seems to be a magnet spacing issue, jive dislikes motors that are not perfect. If you can auto try non ksa first as it's preferable, if in doubt follow mr mels advice and run ksa

Just for reference over 200 flights with KSA mode on 700MX 530kv in my 700E, no issues. Don't be afraid of KSA

Shouldnt damage esc or motor, on thick single wire d winds yes can damage esc, better to run ksa from start. If in doubt run ksa, some motors dont like ksa, they perform a lot better non ksa others not so sensitive so again trial and error sorry!

Right folks, just set up my kony, tried normal mode 4 on bench no issues in starting or weirdness, also tried ksa mode same thing no issues but only bench test with no mains just tails. Should I just run ksa or normal. Motor still 700m. Would I expect to see probs on bench or not. Will ksa mode give me less power.

Use ksa mode, you wont see it on the bench.

Yes a little less power, but its like complaining about Heavy weight of a bulletproof west, 'it does not matter if you get shot, its worth it'

Same with ksa, whats that tiny extra power worth if you crash from a shutdown?
