Exclamation 1st heli a lepton, its in the mail

this is my first full cyclic heli, are there any recomendations for setup ect?

these are the parts I am getting..

Futaba 10c controler with the R6014FS
Spartan DS760 SMM AVCS Gyro
Futaba S3102 Servo
Scorpion 6-cell Switching BEC - 60 Amp SW
A30-8XL 1050KV MOTOR w/ COOLING FAN - Hirobo Lepton
Futaba S9650

I was also looking at getting some trianing wheels so to speek

any comments are welcome and thank God for Bob and his build video's is all I can say.

I still havent got the batteries setup yet and im not looking at stunt flying. is there a battery setup you would recommend for flight longevity , im guessing going for a head spead of 2300 ..? 1900 for hover and 2900 for smashing <-if I tried the 3d tricks...

the reason i bought this heli was for the quality... i have spent hours if not days on fms and clearview and using a counter roatator...

Make sure you can fly OK on your other heli and sim then you'll get to the Lepton and it will blow your mind. Get some different landing gear and some 68-70mm tail blades. Maybe some faster cyclic servos but then again I'm not sure on the spec's with the Futabas. Enjoy the build...

I second the recommendation of replacing plastic tail blades with carbon fiber 68mm blades. This is the only "non-optional" upgrade.

You will enjoy its responsiveness!

Just a rundown on the batteries and how they work. So this is what I have figured out .. the more cells the higher the output of power for the same amp's meaning more insane flghts but less fight times. the less cells gives it less draw capacity but they give you more flight time than an equal amprage battery that has more cells.. This is a guess am I right?

How much cells do you want to use? As far as i remember, the A30-10XL is a better choice. Also kora 15-12. Futaba 9257 at the tail (9650 is a good choice if 6v on the bec) or the better JR DS3500G.

You can connect any three motor wires to any three ESC wires. If motor rotates in wrong direction then simply swap two wires to change motor rotation direction.
