Default jetbox profi binding

i want to use a jeti rx with telemetry sensors on a heli controlled by another brand of transmitter and receiver

so as a test i put my jetibox profi in telemetry mode as described in chapter 7 of the documentation

and put a bind plug in an r9 receiver
TAand selected binding on the jetibox, and it changed from "START" TO "RUNNING"

it stays on running... looks like it never bound

what am i doing wrong

the docs make this look simple

When binding to a Profi you do not use the bind plug. Set the RX to telemetry mode.

Ahh,,

How do you set the RX to telemetry mode?

1 - Connect the RX to the jetibox using a servo cable.

2 - Set RX to telemetry mode using the jetibox.

3 - There is no step 3

ok, so i set the RX serialmlink to jetibox and servo

jeti box now sees rx connected to j1

when i scroll through rx settings, RX mode is "normal", i can change the mode to "Clone", or back to normal

but not to telemetry

so please explain your step 2

Default jetbox profi binding

Aargh!

I made a mistake I think.

It's the jetibox that you need to set to telemetry, not the RX. Sorry about that. It's been a while since I tried that configuration.

Essentially, the jetibox can be set to receive telemetry data through pairing with a JETI TX, or communicate directly with a JETI RX.

It is this latter option that you need to select.

The menu item on the jetibox is duplex, and this needs to be set to TX module.

You'll also need to bind the RX when you do this.

nope i don't want a jeti TX in the loop

i am testing vbar vcontrol, and do not want to give up jlog telemetry data, there are no plans for
vcontrol telemetry to support jlog.

and yes the rx has to be set to telemetry mode for that to work, basically the rx just spews telemetry,
and no transmitter support .

but the r9 i was trying would not let me set rx to telemetry

the r5l and r3 both let me set them to telemetry mode and bound just fine

thats ok though, the r9 was only a test. i will use r3 or r5L for stand alone telemetry

Blame tapatalk. I can't seem to edit posts. The line should read 'communicate directly with a JETI RX' there will be no TX in the loop.
