Blade nano cpx reciever board upgrade options
Has anybody replaced the stock rx boards with an aftermarket board? If so what are the options?

Im not really sure there are any. You can get brushless kits that replace the esc, so you can get far superior motors, but the board itself is kind of the heart of the heli. Everything is integrated into the board.
Why do you ask? Are you having an issue with it? If so it could very well be a loose wire or bad solder joint and there are people that offer a service to repair that. I just send mine for a service to Mega's Micros which does a lo of service on the board for $25. Pretty good deal considering a new board with (likely) the same issues is $65.

Yes, I've had to repair my board as well, Just seems like a design flaw with the NCPX. Wanted to see if something more reliable was available. Oh well. I'm eyeing the Blade 300 right now.....

But you are generally right in that with these tiny little helis, reliability is typically an issue. But there are a few things you can do to make them even more bullet proof than they already are. Ive had mine for about a year (had the factory brushless for about 4 or 5 months) and post holed it in the ground countless times and I'm impressed that I'm just now having issues with the wiring. For what it is, I still think this is far and away the best collective-pitch/aerobatic "trainer". It has a few issues but they are fixable.

I haven't heard of an aftermarket replacement for the nano board but I have talked to a buddy of mine that says a nano board on a mCPX that is converted to brushless is the ticket.

Can you go the otherway and stick an mcpx bl board in a Nano cpx?

The mCPX BL board is 2S so I don't think it will work much less fit. Motor compatibility and weight would be other factors. I believe the nano board works better on a brushless mCPX conversion because the gyros are better or something to that end.

Baby & Pamper the Board
Rumor has it that if you "cushion" the board to keep it away from the canopy it will last longer (less vibration, more air circulation and some bumper-protection in case of a crash). Obviously, flying without the canopy is an option too, especially if not NEVER crash :-)
