Servo Problem; Hitec Intermittant issue
i have a trex 450se with 3 hitec 65hb servos.
after my last crash (into a bush; blades were ok, but i bent the feathering shaft, main shaft, tail boom, stripped the main gear) one of the servos started acting up. the gears are ok (i opened the case and checked) but the servo went intermittant. its NOT a wiring issue, at least not outside the case. but when i plug the servo into a tester, removing the radio etc. as a variable, it sometimes works, sometimes not. it may work for a bit then stop. if i manually move it you can feel it trying to move (or trying to resist if moving it opposite to where it is set). never had a big crash, just a bunch of these little ones. never stripped a gear so i didnt figure the servos would be bad. but i cant figure this one out other than just replace it. and i didnt figure it would vibrate itself to death on an electric heli. it has about 25 or so flights on it, but about all i do is hover, so it doesnt get that much of a workout. any ideas? thanks, mark |
