Default neo mounting location for a non mikado heli ???

hi all :
well after all the hoopla about neo im starting to convert the fleet over from the"other brands " i just purchased a v control radio , a neo vlink and a mikado 550 . the mounting for the mikado 550 will be in the back near the boom , where do i mount the vlink neo on say an align 550 L where the rx mount is up front and under the canopy ?, and how do i position the 2 whiskers ?

First of all, congrats! As long as the Neo is on a level area, and horizontally mounted all is good. It does not have to be in line with the main shaft and it can be mounted upside down as well.
As for the antennae, just make sure they are not shaded by CF and they are at least 90 degrees apart.....Ron

90 degrees is ideal, not a minimum. Also, only the exposed ends of the antenna wires need to be at 90 degrees because those are the actual antenna elements; the shielded cable leading up to them can be at any angle.

I wouldn't mind social media so much if it didn't involve people.

My g700 has the antennas completely covered with the carbon fiber canopy. No issues. You'll be able to see if your placement is affecting the signal with the Vcontrol.
