Default First Heli Build

This is my first attempt at building a heli, almost nechanically completed. Next is installing electronics and programming of 14sgh and Spirit FBL. Learning a lot in a short period of time. Have MKS servos installed and moving on to complete electronics installation. Then the fun, programming my new 14shg and Spirit FBL. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Just excited and wanted to share.

Check control directions and gyro corrections *BE CERTAIN*.

Range check.

Failsafe check.

Maiden w/o canopy.

I see a lot of folks maiden on grass. My opinion is that this is a bad idea. If you have problems the skids will really bit on the grass and the heli is more prone to rolling over -- and when it does it will 'catch/bite' and chew itself up.

A hard surface will allow the hell to tip/slide/spin in time for you to turn it off and inspect. Even a light tipper will just scuff damage the blade ends as they skitter across the pavement.

Have an experienced fried take a look at it or take it to a local field.

Good luck.

EXCELLENT!

Maiden is always exciting, and pulling off your first build and setup is a big accomplishment.
