Default Align blades 425g problem

Ok i usually fly these blades and never have had this happen so i thought i could share and hopefully see if it's happening to others my blade collars literally start to rip from there premade holes anyone else having this issue ??
I run 2900 hs on my 500 i realize the max on the back is 2650 but would expect this to be able to handle it i have used this headspeed floor along time prior to this happening ......

None of my Align blades have ever done that. I believe I have had 3 sets and still have one set out in the garage that I will take a look at. I am currently using some cheaper Fusuno blades that I should check. I got a pair of Zeals I'm going to put on in the spring when the weather gets better.

Ive seen this on my stock align blades. I have 2800hs dialled in my talon 90 gov. My blades were about 6months old when I last inspected and noticed some wear around the blade holder collar similar to yours.

didn't chance it and swapped them out for rail 425's.

YES! I have seen this happening, not to me personally, but two of my fellow pilots in Italy, one being a very skilled 3D guy, had this issue, one flying the Dominator 500, the other flying the 500DFC. The fiber around the collar starts to crack and the collar slowly migrates towards the blade's end… happens on both blue and black Aligns. I don't if it's a general issue of these blades or just for some batches, but after seeing this we sure never bought these bades again. And that's pitty, as these blades look pretty nifty.

Thanks For Posting this mate
I will be checking my Align Blades that I just put on 18 Flights ago
I do run 2650 for RPM and usually run RJX 430
But these were sitting in the box and after last crash thought I would put them on.

Again Thanks would not have believed it they would have an issue until now

For the tail gearing in an ESP, you don't really want to fly above 2750, which is where mine is set. The 500 flies really nice at that headspeed, IMO. The Pro was geared so you could run a higher headspeed without blowing up the tail. So a lot of people run their Pros at around 3000rpm. Problem is that the blades that Align sells are only rated to 2650rpm... So, yeah. Go figure. As always, Align is silent on the issue.

So sounds like people are just excetin the limet. I looked on my 325mm blades and they say do not exceed 3600 I'm at the max I guess mine is 3500hs no load 0 pitch.

Default Align blades 425g problem

This set has just over a 100 flights on it and is showing no signs of failure. These are also B grades. I run about 2900 on my 500. It's not consistent it seems. Some will fail and others are fine.

I've had 2 sets of Align 425's do that ! Was flying a fairly high HS on my Pro which has now been dropped to around 2700-2800 to see how this set goes otherwise time for a new brand I guess.

This issue has been communicated to the Factory. Hopefully we will see an improvement to the blade design in the near future.
