Default Hitec 7940TH vs. JR 8917 HV

Guys,

Need A vote and some opinions on which would be the best choice for the cyclic servos on my Knight 50. Running the servos through a Spectrum 7100R reviever with a 2 cell lipo for power.

Thanks RG

I have battling with the same question between both of these servos. Since I am replacing (3) Hitec HS-6965HB servos on cyclic on my Trex 600N I am moving over to a 2S system and going for the HS-7940TH...just a bit more torque in them and I like the ability to program them with my HPP-21 Plus (no more sub-trim!). The JR's are the bomb but I hate to goto something for just it's reputation...the 7940's are gaining alot of notoriety here lately as an AWESOME servo. Hope that maybe helps!

Default Just got my Hitec HS-7940TH's

Just recieved my 3 NEW Hitec HS-7940TH's for cyclic for my Trex 600NSP. I am also thinking of putting them on my Trex 550E when I get it all built for use in the colder months here in the rocky mountains of New Mexico. I bought mine at ServoCity online for $119 a piece compared to the $149 RETAIL at most shops and the cheapest I also saw was $135 at EspiritModel.com. Think they are gonna work out great. I LOVE the programming on these things...You can't do that with a JR servo!!
