Default My first 700

Did the maiden flights on my new to me Align 700E DFC yesterday. Went very well. First was just a hovering and adjusting tail gain. I was still shaking a bit when I did the second flight about 30 minutes later. That time I flew around a little, but kept it upright.
Heading out now with just the 700. Going to try and get a little more comfortable with it today!

That's great! Good luck with it. First 700? Once you get comfortable you'll really enjoy this size.

Yea, first 700. I thought my X5 was big, but it's a baby compared to this!
I just got back from my field, got in 4 flights. The last was 6:00, with b/t 3.84-3.85 per cell. I'm not 'fully' comfortable yet, but during the last flight I did flip, roll, aileron and elevator tic-tocs, my version of pyro flips, etc. I'll probably set the timer for 6:30 for the next flight.
This bird is probably going to take A LOT of flying time away from my X380 and X5!!!

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your new 700! It's nice to know it's gone to a good home.

Yes, I'm enjoying it. Only have 6 flights on it so far.

What kind of flight times were you getting?

I was getting about 4.5 minutes. 4 if I pushed it. Usually about 4.5. I would land with about 3.8 per cell remaining.

What motor and FBL unit are you running? My 700 is spot on and wouldn't change a thing on it.

Motor is 700MX, Castle 120HV, Align DS610 & DS650, AR7200BX, WR bec. Very basic and inexpensive. I'll be putting a Spirit Pro on it as soon as I can, but I'll probably leave the rest for now.

Just got back from the field. 4 more flights on the 700. Today was pretty windy, kept me from doing a lot of maneuvers, but still enjoyable. The 700 was the only heli I took again.

Default First 700

Congrats, I just finished my 700L Dominator recently. I sold all my others even my Trex 600, I should have done this years ago.

Just got back from the field. 3 flights in windy conditions today. 700 was again all I took. I need to get another set of batteries. The 20 minute wait b/t flights is kinda tough. Maybe I'll just get the X5 tail issue fixed, and take that also. The tail on my X5 developed some binding, and I've located the issue. It's those plastic links to the grips. I never have liked that washer clamp fastening system, but to my knowledge there is nothing else for the X5.
