Kavan Bell Jet Ranger NIB

Anybody know what one of these is worth? I believe it's from the early 70's, first production model collective pitch heli. My friend passed away this summer, so I've been going through his RC estate trying to turn it into cash for his wife. I was told his father helped in the developement of these, so when they finally went into production he was given two from the first batch. It is still new in the box, untouched. This was all before my time, so any help from some old timers or collectors would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know the prices in the U.S., but think that down here in Europe a Jet Ranger in really good condition would at least be sold for 500$, up to almost 1000$. Yours is NIB, and from the first batch, so it should be higher. Always the same story with these vintage helis, you need to find the right person. But no doubt that your heli is a bit like a legend, and should not be sold for a few hundreds of dollars, IMHO. Note that I suspect that prices in Europe are kinda high, compared to the U.S.

I've got a NIB Kavan Lockheed I plan to build with an electric conversion. $500.00 is about right and remember it will cost $100.00 or more to ship.
