at the end... ON high Needle ( the one that you need a screwdriver) is on 1 turn and the mid is 1.80-2 turns...!

SOmeone else to compare our needles??

Ok guys going to the field nice come.day so do some vbar trim flights and HS checking... and ill make some vids and ill tach my HS and then Adjust my throttle curve and see if I can get it running better not gunna lean it out yet since it a rebreakin just a little paying around untill I get at least 2 gallons threw it


Just want to reverify the pinion is 14t and stock main gear is 129 t right need that Info to accurately tach my HS

just got back but no video cause it was cold and no one wanted to do it...but i did lower my V curve to 90 - 87 - 80 - 87 - 90 and at about 85% just in a hover my HS was 2032 rpm's and it was flying good didn't try any loops cause my hands were freezing just rolls and flips and was pretty good just trying to burn fuel to get past break-in so i can lean it out cause my climb outs feel a little weak so soon as im done breaking in ill get some better needle settings to get it running right

YOur needels are rich...

in order to work well on velocity with multigov and outrage pipe i have to put the high on 1 turn and the mid on 1.75-2!!

i used my heli tack app on my DROID and on graph it shows 2018 through 2078 so i just averaged the high and low and said 2032 in my 2 min hover im not really sure if it was 85% it was just a little over half stick just enough collective for a 2 foot hover... plus who know how accurate the APP it but im sure it was in the ballpark...

THis app is not good for the nitros.. its good for the electrics... but i am not sure check it with the optical tachometer..!

I gotta buy a optical tach then ....do they sell a point and shoot tach kinda like a radar gun police use? I don't like how you gotta look through a viewfinder and click a button to get the HS with those sky tachs

You cannot fly and use the tach at the same time, just buy yourself a gov that lets you set the RPM, like the ATG or MGP.

I was going to but I just put the new full-size vbar on my velocity and it has a Gov sensor port so I was gunna use that ....beta was just released for the Gov today or yesterday but I think I still need a optical tach to set it

a tach is usefull.. IS a must have tool..

Buy the bantam Checker 2..

iT has temp meter voltage meter amp meter optical tack and prop tack...

its great..!

True don't need.one.if you have something like a multi gov only need them if you have a ar7100r or like align gov stuff like that my Droid app has a setting for nitro and electric it askes what's you pinion and how main gear teeth you have..so I'm the thinking its designed for nitro too ill make a thread asking how accurate it is

yeap but it can record the blades sound as ti has to do because of the engine noise..1

the app works on the motor noise and the pinion and main gear info i enter...i just looked at my app and the log of my rpm flight today and it looks pretty accurate i can see on the graph when i spooled down and up to landed then went into a hover so in that regards its picking up the rpms but how accurate it is i dunno
