Default New Compass model

Quote from Facebook about a new model for 2017 or something

"I start with geometry of the rotorhead, continue with servo layout, gear, motor and battery position, fbl and receiver position and finaly shape of the eXo body What size it is - I can't tell you now, but it is no 700 "

While I would love a new large heli... If I was a betting man I would say this will be smaller. I just personally see the Exo body working better on smaller helis.

Yay, the speculation period is one of my favorite parts!!!

I think it would be a larger heli since the exo body would be to expensive for smaller helis I think

Not necessarily. If they use the autoclave molding and curing process--depending on the autoclave---they can put more molds into the autoclave at one time. Additionally, they will use less Carbon Fiber, so cost may be less. Just a thought.

+1. You can get small CF bike parts such as handlebar stems for less than 50 bucks nowadays: http://www.ebay.com/itm/31-8-90mm-Ro...-/291836082518

One thing to consider though especially when mounting the motor directly to the CF is you probably want to use a cool running motor. In my existing helis the aluminum motor mounts act as a heat sink after motor shut off. I am assuming this somehow helps the longevity of the bearings/oil in the bearings.

Let's see. I don't think the chronos is going anywhere. 550 & 600 discontinued. My guess is a exo 550-600 stretch option

A new model 550-600 would be perfect. I'm glad the Chronos is not going to be replaced... IMHO there is nothing wrong with it except perhaps a stretch kit so it could swing up to 750mm blades.

What's wrong with the old 600?
But a revised head and lighter body would of course be great

I think he just meant that it's discontinued, so a stretch eXo might be seen as filling that gap.
