A little confused by the wording on the OP. I just preordered mine last night. In the OP it states payment in full to be accompanied with pre-order? Am i missing something because i certainly didnt pay in full.....paid my $50 plus they made me pre-pay for shipping

The pay in full is through prostar and compass. Experience rc has the $50 down

More about the frames. Based on my observations at IRCHA and questions to Sebastian at the event, the monocoque frame is molded and cured in an autoclave. This means it was molded under strict conditions in terms of vacuum and heat. Racing car parts are done in this manner. Also, the frames in the prototypes I've seen are approximately 2.0mm CF. I think the frames are going to be extremely strong because of the autoclave process and thickness.

No boom supports at all. The boom is a sort of rounded triangular shape and get this: The tail control rod runs inside the boom! Having the tail control rod inside the boom is a neat way to clean up the look of the helicopter even further!

I'd rather delivery slipped than get a kit with problems. Possibly somewhere in the parts chain there are defects that need to be fixed, or vendors that can't meet deadlines. Alpha/Beta testers have to assemble a production kit and test etc. Every business has to go through these things, nothing goes smoothly.

Me too. While it is disappointing to have to wait longer, I would rather do that than encounter problems that could have been fixed.

http://www.rc-avenue.com/Compass-eXo-500_1. I believe this site is run by MTTEC which is the main distributor (I think).

The way I look at it... the closer to my birthday, the better (Sept 20). A new model from Compass early or late will make my birthday that much better!

It's much better to wait a little longer for a complete project, than it is to rush it out and be full of defects.

That's a beautiful helicopter, I think I want it to be my next one
