Looks cool, but is this just an altitude thing? Or full GPS hold, RTH, Etc?

We want to be clear that the product referenced in yesterday's email campaign is Hard Deck ONLY with no GPS function. GPS development continues to be ongoing; however, the final configuration is yet to be determined. As someone stated in this thread, the challenges to achieving a high-quality, fully-functional GPS system have been greater than anticipated. Initially, our intent was to develop the Hard Deck feature and GPS simultaneously and offer both products to the market simultaneously. The Hard Deck Module offers a huge breakthrough in cost-effective, semi-autonomous flight control. For those not familiar with our term "Hard Deck" (HD), it refers to an artificial plane above which the pilot may operate an R/C aircraft without the assistance of flight stabilization, if he so chooses. If the aircraft gets into trouble HD will invoke stabilization automatically when a pre-set altitude is detected. The HD will not permit the aircraft to fall below that artificial plane, provided that the model remains powered. Hard deck combined with flight stabilization makes it virtually impossible to crash an R/C plane or heli. And yes, when used in helis, HD does manage collective; but not throttle.
