Default 500E 5-blade scale

Okay, I'm officially off the deep end starting today. After seeing pics, reading the story, and watching video of Dennis' 500E (Trex 600 mechanics) with a 5-blade head, couldn't resist any longer. Already bought a spare 600E from rbosco here on the forum. Ordered the 5-blade head and blades today...

What a disease...

Crap.. I wish I hadn't read this... I've been eyeballing that little project and my wallet is really bugging me to pull the trigger....

I see a 450 sized head.. Where's the 600 sized head?

That's great can keep us updated or better yet do a build series with some photos.

Is it true Align is coming out with something for the 600 & 450? I would love to do a scale project but the T500 is coming.

At www.centuryheli.com. It shows out of stock but when I called, they had one on hand. They're local, in San Jose.

Where is this video and story? I always thought these Century fuse's would work for that but not fit a 600E ?

I know nothing about scale stuff, but interested in reading...

EDIT: Ah duh I see the link above is the info is on the DeeTee page....hahah...thanks!

Biggest issue with the Century fuses is that the Trex 600 underslung flybar runs too close to the top of the fuse and can cause a strike. Some suggest running a Raptor head but, then, you don't have a 600 (IMHO). So, flybarless is the way to go! Now, if you can swallow that step, multi-blade is just a small step of madness further!

I did the same thing... sort of. I bought the 4 bladed lightning head, a T450 S and a bunch of other parts to make it all aluminum. The kit and head cost me about $250 altogether... the rest of the parts will bring it up to $1000. I'll have to hid the receipts.

BTW... are you using a mixer? Which one?
