Do they make a heli version of the Rodenator? I've gotta have one of those. (I like to blow things up!!)

Great start, Bob... I didn't size the links for the head on mine. One thing I think you're really going to like is the tail assembly. It's a little tricky to get everything square for the pitch slider and how it mounts to the tail assembly, but once you do, it's really super smooth and I anticipate with use it will only get better. Lots of bearing surfaces!

Building one as I type and I am impressed so far. You are right about Helidirect Bob. They have come a long way.

I mainly hang out in my local Northern Illinois RC Choppers Sub-Forum. It's also the dead of winter here in Chicago so helicopter chat around here goes a little idle during these months.

This is the best 50 out in my opinion. I've also come from Vibe 50's. The new MA55 may rock, but I'm happy with the Velocity. It flies so great, I rarely fly my 90's now. With the new OS/YS 55/56 motors, this thing has near the prescence of a 90, but is so nimble yet at the same time locked in, it's just hard to describe, other than to say it's awesome. The launch issues with OWB lockups and some other minor issues were handled great by HD service, and the new kits seem to be just about bullet proof . Great flying, great looking, and great priced heli IMO

Steve... I have Emailed Howard like 5 times now. I have shot the frame build but I need some link rods and links please! Many of my rods looked like they were threaded but were not real threads. I need to get those shipped to me and Howard has not responded once to my Emails since January 20th!

Yes that is holding me up on the build videos! AND I cant wait to do the 90

OK cool... Talked to Steve direct tonight and the parts are on the way!

Steve, I am sorry to hear of Howard being sick and in the hospital
We all will hope for the best and a quick recovery! Howard is a great asset to Helidirect.....

So you all know they are aware of the link rod issues and have fixed it! I got my kit in early December so you all should have no worries now about the link rods in kits... If you do get one just call Helidirect and they will send you new rods and links ASAP... Steve told me straight out support will be top notch for this heli Shit happens like any manufacturer and this time I got some bum parts! Good to see Steve the owner stepping up to resolve it FAST....

The delay was because poor Howard got sick and was hospitalized! Again like any of us, pray for a speedy recovery and the best for Howard and his family!

I got one of the first run kits. Actually bought mine and built it at IRCHA in August. That would be Mosquito FEST for you there Bob .

I had a few parts issues, like the one way bearing that people had problems with, and my clutch was a bit "iffy" and HD was AWESOME to deal with. The service and support on this brand is top notch in my book. Plus the heli flies like no other 50 I've had, so I built a 2nd Velocity 50 this winter

Really plan to wring them out this year

Hehehe some of the links are ribbed for her pleasure, the odd link is still threaded improperly, but HD will make it right.

Sorry to hear about Howard, best of wishes from us HF'ers.

Sorry to hear about Howard... get well soon sir.

As for the links being tight; on every Outrage heli (G5 & 550) I have they are all very tight. I didn't resize and after a few flights they really loosened up and are now just right! I replaced some on the G5 after 200 flights or so just to keep things on par. As for the 550 I only have about 60 or 70 flights on it and the links are GREAT!! School owns my ass right now so I rarely get to do anything heli related. Last semester!!!!

This summer I hope to get a Velocity and a 90E or Fusion..... Well.. I'm just going to buy every Outrage heli I can.
