Banshee team recommends to change the first stage belt after 100 flights and if you use the high power belt even less flights, all discussed and recommended in the Banshee forum. The second stage belt only needs replacement if you visually see wear, but it should easily do 200 plus flights.

Personally have done more than 80 flights on mine fitted with normal first stage belt and a 4530 home-wound with no sign of wear. It also matters if you use a small pulley as this increases wear..

Ok so I was very very surprised with the out come of the heat sink that I installed. Temperatures dropped by 10 to 15 degrees on some flights...I was really very very impressed and cant believe I have not done this earlier. Note the starting temp...its crazy hot in this place and the scary part is we almost at the end of summer beginning winter...it gets even hotter in this place. Below are the two log files for you guys to review.

One strange thing is that my RPM fluctuates quite a bit...I first thought it might be because my batteries are getting fatigued (they have over 80 cycles each Gens 5000mah 45C) But then I check what the logs were using 14S brand new battery packs...well the same result. Maybe I'm just flying the Banshee very hard...as she just begs to be pushed harder and harder...plus I'm running 15 degrees pitch which is pretty high. Max amp spikes I get are 125A running pyro 800-48 custom wound by Gumaro to a 460KV motor

Any way..thoughts are welcome

Impressive stuff William!

Since you can bolt the heat sink down, did you use thermal grease like for a computer CPU?

Hi Mark,

At this stage I have not used any thermal paste...i do however have some in my tool box. I decided not to use it for the test, however after the results Im going to add some thermal paste to increase the efficiency. The stuff I have is used for PC's and does not glue the heat sink down..which is great. Its always a concern removing the heat sink at a later stage.

Below a pic of the thermal paste

I'm covered. I've got both Arctic Silver epoxy and thermal grease.

So dremel off two fins on both sides and then it fits the canopy "tight" or without rubbing ?

I like them but damn it why make it that wire needs to be inserted prior??? My lipo leads were short from factory and almost impossible to get on

I'm using PRC6's split into bullets and the black lead with the fuse on it is definitely just barely reaching and the black wire is bent nearly 180 degrees right by the plug.

I standardized all my helis to run PR6 for easy charging.

But even with 2 x PL8's I find myself wanting a 3rd charger. The convenience factor of having multiple chargers really improves my flying day in terms of getting a bunch of batteries charged and then back to storage charge at the end of the day.

Im setting my charger cutoff to 4.18v as the last few % takes the longest and doesnt really provide longer flight time
