Turn it on its side? We only installed 7ch fasst for customers so far I believe that is what we did. 14 fasst won't fit unless it is off the side of the heli so make sure not to try that one.

Here is my installation of a 6008HS receiver into my 450 Pro. Fits great. You need only slope it up at the aft end because of the cross braces / gear mounts are about 1 mm too close.

Decided the best way for the antennas to be directed at 90 degrees to each other was to make the tubes as shown in the photos. Used my heat gun to warm the plastic up making it bendable.

Thanks! That's a good installation right there. I'm a little concerned about placing the receiver outside the frame since it makes it more vulnerable in a crash. It's good to see it's possible to install it inside the frames.

Yeah nice installation.

Also receivers mounted on the outside of the frame are a great precursor for ripping the wires out of your servos. Best to keep it inside if possible.

Sweet!! Nice job SunDevilPilot! Been looking for ideas for my 450PRO and rx when I convert over to Fasst from Spektrum. What kind of plastic tube did you use for that?

Default Why status lite won't turn green?

I am in the process of finishing up a 450 Trex build and am wondering why my 750 Gyro status lite isn't turning green when initinalizing. It stays red and I noticed on finless build it shows it should be green?

If it is red then it thinks your in RATE mode. What are you using for setting gain? You either have 0 gain or the channel your using for gain is reversed....

Hi Finless, you mentioned in one of the videos in this thread that you were going to test the Chinese weights that were built into the Pro's tail. How did it go?

FInless I would LOVE to see your method of testing. Really would love to see what that engineering mind of yours comes up with for testing it.

(Now watch he will just hold the push rod it in his fingers and do it by feel just like me)

Yep! Exactly...... I don't need a accurate force gage to feel how hard the servo would have to work.....

Thanks Bob for the very informative build video. It made the task of building the Trex 450 pro very easy ,and a lot of FUN! I do have a question about the tail moving up and down approximately an inch. The tracking is good. I have no tail wag ( left to right ) just up and down. Any though to what may be causing this? Thanks again for the video!

Usually this is an indication of low head speed. On a new heli the dampers are tight and if you head speed is low then you get bobbing.

I purchased the tubes at the LHS. They were found in the Dubro rack in a long red tube. Just Dubro brand antenna tubing I believe.

I have updated my initial installation in terms of the method of attachment for the tubes. The zip ties allowed the tubes to rotate if bumped. I changed the attachment method to heat shrink tubing and got an installation better able to resist twisting.

Thanks Bob That was it I increased the rotor speed and that ended the problem. It is alot of fun to fly for a stock Heli.

Hi Bob the motion is back. I increased the rotor head and it stopped. Now it's back with the up and down motion. It only happens when I'm at 80% and above. I inspected the motor and found that the motor was very hot! I feel that the motor is bad. Do you know if I can return this to Align or am I out of luck on this one? I just purchased and have never been flying due to the motion. 450 Pro V3

Good luck with returning anything to Align. I bought a 250 from Hobby Zone that showed up defective. Hobby Zone was gracious enough to replace it after Align basically gave me nothing but the run around. To this day Hobby Zone has yet to get Align to replace the unit I sent back to them. If they can't get Align to replace it, what chance do we as a consumer have? I'd say little to no chance. That is the one bad thing I have heard and experienced first hand is really bad customer service from Align U.S.A. I had heard this about Align from other folks too.
Just my thoughts...
