Default How do you zero the swashplate? Trekker 800

I recently purchased a second hand Trekker 800 with an Ikon gyro. At 50% the swashplate shows 2 degrees of pitch. My problem is I can't figure out how to lower the swashplate with the linkage? What puzzles me is how to lower the elevator link arrangement, the aileron and pitch are straightforward solid links. Thanks.

Don't see how your swash can give you a pitch reading.

Check pitch at your blades then alter the DFC links to get zero.

If this is your first big heli you should take the time to research how set these things up correctly, if your other heli's are small then you are in for a shock when you spool this thing up.

Take care, these monsters are killers.

Default Rabbit ears

I fold main blades like "rabbit ears". First I setup zero angle than I measure distance from the ground to blade tips in four positions forward, right, backward, left. Those measurements should provide simillar results.

Actually setting zero angles and measuring collective range is made this way in Vbar software (advanced settings).

I think that extremely precise setting is not essential anymore since we fly FBL. Gyro will do the job. More important now is to set subtrims to stick centers so gyro reads zeros.

I did not use pitch gauge for around 2.5 years. I do not need it anymore.

I assume "rabbit ears" method in much more precise.

Am I wrong?
