Default New castle 6.5 connectors

Well today the 800 lost power and I had to auto down, came in a bit hard and broke a landing skid. Could have been much worse, I was inverted.. When I went to unplug lipos one was already unplugged. These connectors were hard a hell to pull off so I'm not sure how it came unplugged during flight but now it feels not as tight as before . And these are new connectors. No other damage but sucks that I put better connectors on and this happened. Happy flying all!

Glad you got her down without too much damage Heli biggie. Well done

But, I wouldn't have thought connectors become loose by themselves in just one flight . ( It does happen, but unlikely, IMO.)
I would check there are no other underlying issues eg, signs of heat, batt short etc. Check your logs too, if you haven't already, before putting it down to bad luck alone.

The one esc plug in question was loose with all lipo connectors. So I was told that sometimes the inside with the slits sometimes get pushed together more, so I carefully stuck a small hex head driver in the middle and that did the trick , hard as hell to pull off now, just another thing to add to the list of things to check before flight, I will be doing a pull test EVERY flight now. Hopefully just a 40 dollar lesson well learned, I will also be wrapping them together with velco for double protection.

Default Power glitch # 3

Ok guys I REALLY need help now. I had another power glitch after I swapped out to castle connectors. The 1st flight today went perfect, the 2nd flight had the power glitch .

Please help. I'm not sure what's going on except I must fix it.

try putting your gov gain at 11-12. Sounds like it went into soft cutoff. PWM at 12 you have yours on outrunner.

Yeah, try running not in outrunner, but 12pwm instead, and see if you can touch the motor for more than 5 seconds after a flight (how hot it gets)

Just take it easy for the first couple of flights after changing parameters. Maybe a bit ott but I'd check logs after 2-3 mins and at the end of the first flight just to ensure alls well.

Good luck

So the motor is still really hot after flight??? Can't touch for more than a second. But again today great flights with no glitches. Charging batts for more fun after this rain!

high motor temp is sometimes ok (high esc temp is not so good). Are your outside weather/air temps above ~75F?

My motor gets where I can touch it for 5 seconds, but no longer than 5sec, at 70F day temps. I think that's normal.

The only real test is with a temp gun.

Your ESC log above shows a max of 150F I think, so thats fine.

If I had to guess I would say worn head dampers and/or CoG not perfect.
