Default Receiver telemetry

I was looking through the manuals for an answer but couldn't find it regarding the definitions for the telemetry values of the receiver itself.

It sends 3 values, A1 Rx, A2 Rx and Q Rx.

I believe A1/2 are the signal strengths for each antenna (value range 0-9), and am I correct in guessing Q (which is given as a percentage) is a sort of compound signal quality?

Thanks guys

As I understand it, Q is the actual quality of the data being received. So, in a noisy environment you could have good antenna signal strength (A1, A2) and poor Q.

Cool thanks. So while signal strength varies on each antenna, mine get as low as 5 but almost never at the same time, my data quality never goes below 95%. So I can conclude that my antenna placement is good.

Q is the "understanding" of the signal whereas antenna A1/A2 is the "loudness". With an analogy let's say you are in a crowded room and someone across the room is speaking loudly, you hear him ("A" antenna strength) but you can only make out part of what he says ("Q" understanding).

That being said, data is sent in packets ,the number of which nobody knows as far as I could see, but let's say to help the understanding that when Q is at 100 percent the data sends 100 packets each containing all the information needed. Based on that when you get a 50 percent reading then you receive 50 packets each containing all the information. This is still plenty to stay in control even at 8 percent. Probably not best but still working.
