Smile Gyro/rudder recommendations

I have the Thunder Tiger Mini Titan V2:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAGGU

It recommends the Ace TG6000 Heading Lock Gyro:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAUPY

and the Ace C0915 for rudder servo:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAURJ

I'm a beginner, so today my local club's heli guru came by to help me with my setup issues. Right now I'm getting a lot of counter-clockwise rotation. He found my rudder just isn't responsive enough. He recommended I investigate a better rudder servo and gyro. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks.

Gyro: Spartan Quark
Servo: Futaba S9257

Great and popular combination. Worth every penny IMO.

Yup.
The Quark and pretty much any decent tail specific servo will work great.
Find the best deal on a S9257, DS520, HSG5084 or similar.

Other good gyros are: GY401 and newer Futaba, Align GP780/750 or the Hitec/Logictech line.

EEeerrrm, I'd probably exclude the GP780. Had nothing but trouble with mine. LHS says 750 was a better gyro and it looks like I have a bad 780, which in their experience is not unusual. I'm looking to replace the 780 asap.
