Binding a new TX to a 3GX - do I need to re-run setup?

Hi folks,

I've just bought a Trex 600N from a club member, it's in full flying condition and he has everything setup.

I've bound my TX to the model, and have setup the swash and servo settings and have checked everything is moving in the correct directions, I have a good range of travel, and no binding of any servos.

Another club member has recommended redoing the 3GX setup, can I ask if that is needed?

What I would like to do is fly this model as it is, the chap I bought it from is far more experienced than I am, and I suspect he's done a better job of setup than I'm going to do at the moment. Once I'm more familiar with the model I plan to upgrade to v4.0 firmware, and then run through the whole setup myself.

Could somebody let me know if it's safe to fly by just binding to his existing setup?

Yes, you need to re-do full 3GX set up, including both DIR set up and tail set up.

Yes none of the values will be the same even if you go from dx6i to dx8
