Default Trex 600 backup mount changes/opinions

It is time for me to build a new backup mount for my trex 600E backup helicopter.
This mount only holds my small point and shoot camera and is to small for my panasonic G1 etc.

It works flawlessly for pictures and video with Zero Vibrations out of 500 photos maybe 3 would have visable vibrations. There was foamies on the heli skids then zipped together with a small piece of foam betten the skids and the aluminum.

Its now time to retire this mount and build somthing different. I am not going to buy another 800 dollar mount for a backup one as my main mount is to heavy for a 600E. So I thought I would ask some of your opinions on how or styles you guys think are worth trying.

This mount weighed in at less then 1/2 a lb

I would like it to Fit my G1 and my sx200is so its going to have to be a be taller and wider. I am just unsure if I should have the camera up front still or more to the middle, and if I should keep the landing gear angled or if it should be straight down.

This mount is for FPV and photos mostly so it doesnt have to rotate or do anything fancy. It will also no longer zip to the heli skids I am going to remove those and just bolt it to the plastic frames on the bottom of the Trex.

let me know what you guys think or ideas for a better/bigger mount. Keeping in mind this is a cost effective
mount that is used for backup or when I want to try somthing out of the ordinary

it was definatly strong lol I sat on it to see if it would hold my weight and it did 200lbs later and about 150 flights and it still works for when I fly in areas where there is a high risk of a crash.... over rivers etc

there is neoprene or however you spell it between the camera and the mount and between the mount and the helicopter thats all.

Helicopter was also dialed in very well.

Might not continue using 600's anymore as I took my backup 600 today and decided to try 3d lol. I did allright until battery pack number 4. Was trying tic toc's then came straight down tail first to flip back up and I must have made a mistake somewhere and caught a blade and she went in hard.

1 frame side
1 tq tube
1 tq shaft
1 set of blades
1 set of tail blades
1 set of blade grips "starting to think i am better off with plastic as I have never had an aluminum set standup to a crash"
1 set tail bearings and maybe a new tail fin
1 canopy

funny tho all my rex 600 crashes are like 3-400 dollars....

yeah from what i understand that ground does a wonderful job putting a stop to any vibrations.

but seriously 600 crashes costing 3-400 buck each? i think i'll stick with the 450 for sure now.
