I read some of that article online.
It appears that they put the motor and esc from the X5 in it. Pretty interesting. Should be an easy stretch if someone wanted to go that route.
I think it looks nice, of course I think all of the X series look good.

It just does not look right to me. Tail boom looks super skinny with the bobble head canopy.

Looks crazy on the smaller packs! I think they are targeting the goblin 500 with this. I mean the goblin 500 takes a bigger bird motor and puts it into a smaller body, and then this takes that same size motor and puts it in a even smaller heli! Now this only works if you crank up the headspeed to offset the heavier disk load. But in return you get a very very nasty bird. My G500 isnt anything special below 2700 feels like anything else out there, even below 2500 if feels like a dog. But crank it to 2800 or 2900 and you better hold on! lol I kind of want to buy one of these kits and swap all my electronics over to it and see how it behaves. and choose the better birdy... Although this is smaller than a goblin 500. But i just saw a video of a nx4 with the new spin 463 blades so that would make this even better to make it feel lighter.

Hey Matt

Do you have an X4 V2 yet?

It would be nice to know what tail servo you guys are using. Full size or Mini?

What packs are best for 4-5min flight times. From the video it looks like a 3800-4100 would give 4-4:30min flight?

Any chance they will do a Formula Canopy?

I really like the new direction Gaui is taking with the X series. Great job guys

I like the fact Gaui improved the X4. I think they did a good work on that one.

But I find it too expensive. I have a gaui 425 and when you see that a protos 500 is 399 with motor and esc. Gaui want to sell the X4 to 499 (no esc and no motor)> I know it is a new product and that MSH already earned lot of money with their 450 and 500 models but still.

They made a great move for beginners by releasing the X5 lite and I hope they will think to do a X4II lite with FG frame and belt The 425 ircha had some problems/flaws but it was a bargain and made lot of people try Gaui (like the MSH kits now).

I recognize that with X5 and X7, gaui has moved back again to competitive 3D helis but it would be good to keep also beginners in view

Smillar,It look like the tail could accept mini/standard servos.

It looks odd with the landing gear struts pointing backward. I wonder if its the easter-egg of the picture

I do like the general design, but am a bit sad they did not make it a reincarnation of the plastic-fantastic budget+quality chopper that the Hurri 425 is/was.

I do not have one yet but I'm very much looking forward to getting one! From what I can tell it fits a mini sized rudder servo.

I'm sure someone will cut out the frame to fit a full size. My opinion based on my experience with the NX4, the mini tail servos seem to work really well on it. I've flown the Savox and the Futaba 257 and both are really nice.

For the battery, I'm not really sure yet what the flight times will be, aside from what we saw in the videos. I'm planning on running my 5000 mAh Scorpion packs as well as the 3300 Mah variety for smack.

I have no idea about the formula canopy, sorry.

It is similar to an Align 500 size. 425mm blades.

That's how the x7 skids are also

Hm... I should have posted my thread here instead of the NX4 forum I think. LOL.

I'm going MKS DS9660A+ and MKS DS8910A+ ... they will be enough.

Nice build thread you started.

I really like the layout of the x4v2 components. Simple and better battery layout than the x5.

Look forward to more input from you on this kit.

So far, I like it a LOT.

I raved about the Synergy E5 (first run kit I assembled) with regards to the quality of the kit and how it just bolted together without any fuss .... the Gaui X4 II acheived the same level of quality on a first run product.
