Just got in 2nd batt and changed my settings via the dongle.
New batt charging, settings changed to make her quicker. ......We shall see!!! Vid will INCLUDE.....Pitch pumps, Piro pitch pumps, FFF, Rainbows,Tic tocs(aileron and tail down), Ill try some prio flips as well, (ususally have to take OFF piro comp to get em to feel rt, but ill leave it at a lowered 35%), Funnel , This should give a good idea as to how the system holds and stand sup to a bit of abuse. I know the heli is a solid platform so its ALL the 3g-X 's show from gere on out. Am i missing somethingh? Hope not. See ya after I post the vid (5 or 6 pm this eve). |

My pleasure.
Just got in 2 more flights. 1st flight was insane and it felt HORRIBLE.......way too twitchy, not locked in VERY loose and WAY too quick. I made the mistake of trying to set this up with the sam e perameters as I would have setup a 3g . WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! This system......IS NOT the 3g. Second battery i stuck it back on the GUI and adjusted for what I knew would FEEL rt with this system. Little higher hiller(45%) Little higher BELL(from 50 to 70) Pirouette opt. (this one ACTUALLY works well) 55 Swash speed 60,Elevator and ail control rates at 75, lock gains at 70, total gains at 75(may raise this till i get bobble then back off.) Elev/ail EXPO at 4.(makes me look SMOOTH...lol). Second flight was much better, Funnels locked in, tic tocs were stationary, etc-etc. Im gna wait till i get this feeling rt before I post a final vid. Ill put my test vids up on youtube here in a bit. Just keep in mind........I was JUST testing. This is all adjustment phase and will bedone pretty quick . Much easier than the 3g....not much to figure out and NO ghosts to chase! lol.... C ya in a bit(got more batts charging) |

Do you know if it will accept the phase sensor or only the old magnet system?

Flight. Didnt like the way she felt so the next vid.....i changed things around.
As you can see, hard to fly in my little area. Power lines, trees, etc. Did the best I could....BTW - winds at 20-25mph gusting. |

Nice, looks like it holds very well for the high wind conditions you were flying in. Some drift in the pitch pumps, but most likely caused by the high winds as well. Very easy to return her to a hover when landing. Also Seemed to hold when you
Lowered your collective to land. For a super light weight 500 heli, I would have to say it handled very well. You need to find a bigger place to fly man… i lost sight of you in the trees several times Thanks for the 3GX demo. Looking forward to setting the unit up on my 450 Pro. |

FINAL VID.....Very close to what I wanted out of her. Actual setup and tips videos will be on my site(ck sig.) within a day or so. Same winds Different settings. Felt more consistent. Im gna up my total gains a bit and see what we got.
Anyway......MUCH better than the 1st effort from Align. Ill post stuff up as I find things out. Shouldnt be much though. PEACE! (mini review coming this eve.after a few more packs.Im going across the street to the college running track.) |

Much more stable in flight. Liked the way it leans into the wind to hold the heli stable in hover. Loop looked good did not see any osculation from the heli at all. You could turn the gains up even more it think. Almost everything else was way outside my flying skills to comment on.. tail holds pretty good for the amount of wind you are flying in. I have spent a lot more on some other FBL systems that would not hold that well in calm wind much less gusty wind.
I will be starting out with the sport setup on my 450 Pro. I assume you were using the 3D settings as a base. impressive |

High winds the tail HUNTS a bit more than Id like it to. I am really starting to question the 650 as a tail servo combo for ANY 3g unit. NOT the WAG we usually see, just a hunt every once in a while when the wind kicks up.
Im gna try a different tail servo and mess with the gains untill the new servo gets here. |

Ok.....
This post is not intended to start a confrontation..
But after reading all the suggestions from the so called "experts" on how to modify( a brand new) and adjust the 3G to get it flying so perfectly. And how anyone who failed to get it to fly without issue just doesn't have the skill or know-how.. Now I begin to see that these so called perfected 3G units with all the tweaks and tuning are being laid to the wayside for the 3GX. First question that comes to mind.. If these self proclaimed experts got their 3G's flying so perfectly that they felt they could bad mouth BeastX and dare say even begin to compare to VBar.. Why now are they abandoning 3G for 3GX?? Is it because the want for the latest and greatest.. this would seem counter productive being they had their 3G's flying to such a precise setup... I've also read were it has taken several flight and still no perfected flights.. I find this disheartening, being the fact it took less than half a flight pack to get 3 beastX unit dialed in. And only 2 packs to setup VBar. I think history is repeating itself.. people are getting all hyped up again just like when 3G was about to hit the market... I'm just waiting to see the end results... And if anyone states a claim " the reason you couldn't get the 3G to function was due to lack of...." I'll be more than happy to post what I fly and I can 99.99% promise it took more skill talent and knowledge to get my fleet in the air. As I said this isn't intended to start confrontations.. just stating what I've seen and have been reading

YEP...latest and greatest.
Now that THAT is over with...maybe it can get asked in a different thread. DONT SEE how it has anything to do with the testing and Flight of the new system. (If ya wanna ask something...CALL me or PM me) Thanx for the questions and opinions but we already got PLENTY of those from the SNYDE little comments the X people feel they need to leave in here. Back to the test bench. NEW servos for tail gna get tested , see if I cant get rid of this little hunt. (ALways funny how the LONGEST posts are often the least constructive. ) Peace. |

Why on earth wouldn't I or anyone else upgrade from a first gen 3G to a new faster better designed unit? SAT compatibility.. built in GOV 1 piece design instead of 2 Piro Comp working. and more.. By your stupid pointed question why on earth would someone with a perfectly good 600E to get the new redesigned one? Or why would you sell a perfectly good car to get the newer model? really you really had to come in here and ask? There was NOTHING wrong with my 2 first gen 3Gs when I sold my 2 700Ns. If I still had them I assure you I would still be flying the 3G.. I still have an Unused gen 1 3G in my stash and will indeed use it on someone in the future.
