Hello From The UK
Hi all,
My name is rob, I'm 47 years young, live with my partner of 19 years and have a 10 year old son. I'm very new to the Heli scene starting out with the usual Infra Red Co-Axial (if that's right) and then moving onto my current Blade Scout CX. I've purchased my radio gear (Spektrum DX6i) along with Phoenix 4 simulator which I am really enjoying using and gaining some flight skills from. Currently still getting the hang of hovering, yet can fly upside down and a few other tricks without any problems. This weekend I am going to look at my next upgrade which I am having trouble deciding because of the information overload I am getting. I am currently looking at either the Blade 120SR (fixed pitch) or the Blade 130X (the 130x is the one I am aiming for but is a collective pitch heli). I know that the 120SR is learner friendly and would be the sensible choice for a next upgrade. But I have read on a forum and also seen a you tube video of some guy setting up the DX6i with the 130x to emulate a fixed pitch Heli with most of the flying characteristics of a fixed pitch. So my first question would be. Which would you peeps suggest for my upgrade. 120SR or the 130x setup to emulate a fixed pitch? Anyway thanks for reading. I'll be asking a few more questions as I get to grips with my new hobby. |
