Default New pc win 8.1 don't see SK 720 BE

Hello
Computer shows issue with usb driver. In Skookum Flybar search for updates is not available. USB 2.0. what can i do ?

Not connecting with the Skookum? On win 8.1 some of us have had to buy a usb port adaptor so the computer can see the unit.

Did a driver not load? You may have to "turn off driver signature verification" (search for that) and reload the skookum software. I only have USB3 ports on my 8.1 computer and they don't play nice with skookum software, especially firmware upgrades. Bricked my old 360s to the point where they got tossed, and it's taken multiple attempts to get my blue 720 to finish setup wizards. (had to reset with jumper cable a number of times). I'm awaiting the upgrade to BE (hopefully shipped any day) and then I'll try my new usb2 hub. Good luck to you.

Have you reset it with the jumper cables? That may break things loose.

I upgraded my motherboard, and the PC cannot see the unit. So, I added a USB card to connect.

On my last laptop, I had a driver failure also. Spent about a week trying to get it to respond in dozens of different ways. I even had a software engineer who is a friend of mine looking at it one day. Nothing he tried worked either. I ended up taking it in to a computer shop. A week later I had it back and all was good.

The´computer was only one week old. I`m stumped. Must i buy again a Laptop with win 7.

Sorry for my misstake, i always tried Software 3.43. This morning i look more exactly on the Website and downloaded 4.02 - 4.05 ---- win 8.1 and usb hub, it works.

i can`t update to data Viewer pro, help only skookum ?

No, I am using an "old" desktop pc with windows 8.1. No problem at all. I am using 2.0 USB port not 3.0 USB port to connect to my SK540 and 720BE.
I also using an very old Dell laptop which is still running Windows XP to connect to both 540 and 720BE too, no problem at all.
So, hang in there, members from this forum will help you to fix this issue.

It is computer specific and one time use. Contact Skookum and ask Art to send you a new code. Been there myself when my laptop crashed earlier this year.
