Default 1/4 scale PA-18 question

im about to begine buiding this plane it is a hangar 9 super cub and i was going to do electric power but was offered a smoking deal on a nib saito fg-36 never had a gas engine so my question is what type of prop is best wood,carbon fibre or the apc plastic?and not that im trying to skimp on cost but if i use y-extensions for servos do i really need a 9 channel reciever?

As a bare min, you'll get off with a 5 ch tx.

As for prop make / type , I've always found that its all down to personal preference, but you just cant beat a large wooden prop and they are just beautiful to use !!!!

A plane that big (1/4 scale) and beautiful deserves a flat four, like the O.S. 3.2, 4 stroke. I'd love to build something like that some day, but I have no place to hangar one. Post some pics!
