Default Someone please make a more spacious canopy

My biggest gripe about the NX4 is that the space under canopy is ridiculously cramped. All my searching of after market canopy yielded only canopies that appear to be an exact match (shape wise) of the stock Gaui canopy.

I've been using the X4 Canopy which opens up a wider selection of colors.. Same shape though.

I do know what you mean, my TH Servo arm wears a hole in the side of the canopy and it barely fits. Even tried an alternate mounting location, but then the canopy contacts the main gear.

Yeap, that is my problem too. By the time you get a multigov and BD3sx both with vertical servo plugs, gasser CDI, you are just out of room!

Yesterday I put 8 tanks through it @ 15 minutes a tank. Standing out there while I was flying it, I caught myself grinning and thinking this thing is just such a blast to fly

I agree man. 15 minutes at a clip is ridiculous. It's becoming the only heli I fly. It takes no gear to go to the field. The CDI battery lasts forever. I run a 950mah battery and can get four flights out of it=one hour. The other battery needs charging.

I have actually ran both off one battery for one flight without issue. I hope to be able to do this regularly. I just don't dare yet. I know Doug Darby does it without issue.

And as far as the darn canopy goes, I think hte issue is that everyone uses the same mold for the x4ii and NX4. The only difference for the x4ii tehy opened the top up for the motor. Well, the x4ii has about half of the wires and components of the nx4.....but is no where near as fun to beat on!

I just leave my canopy off....lol...I only fly with a canopy at events these days. just more money to tear up when you crash. I never fly with one anymore
I really want to convert mine to a gasser, but I am worried about the parts supply for the nx4 these days. and before you just jump up and say it will be here forever, really take a look. very few people are carrying parts other than the main distributor. that makes me wonder.
