Default L600 Frames Top Bearing Mount

Belt snapped on me today. Managed to auto it down but landed in a rut and it tipped over.

Just removed the bent main shaft now and the top bearing just popped out with it. I seem to remember there was a lip to stop that from happening. Can anyone confirm that there should be a lip? Do you think I can still use these frames or should I replace them? Changing the frames out is a PITA

Its no lip there, only pressure from the bolts holding it in place.
I remember Finless Bob used shoogoop on the main mast bearings to hold them in on his Logo 500 3D build long time ago.

You mean pressure from the bolts holding the frames together?

The pressure from the bolts hold the frames together but as the frames are plastic they allso help holding the bearings in place, not super tight but in there and off cource a lip below the beairng.

Sorry to hear about the belt. How many flights (or seasons) did you have on it?

There is only a lip on the inner part of the frame at both the top and bottom. Other than the shoe goo that was mentioned (which Finless only used to keep the bearings from spinning), there is nothing keeping the top one from coming up or the bottom one falling out if the main shaft is not clamped in.

I had been using this belt for about a year but I think it was weakened from a flight last week. I had a static issue, which caused the tail to kick out 90 degrees. It was so violent that belt came off the front tensioner. I thought it was OK when putting it back but I guess I didn't check carefully enough. Anyway I think I solved the static issue as it was fine for a couple of flights on Wednesday, but on Friday the belt snapped snapped while practicing reversing piro rainbows.
