Default To keep the heli in the air

just started out doing tail in loops and rolls. and when i could keep the heli in one place and altitude, started to stop the heli inverted hold it for a few seconds then continue with the loop. is a good way to get use to how much pitch you need to put in to keep the heli in the air.

Good luck...
Karen

The way I learned was putting rudder trim all the way to one side and not change it till I could fly.

That sounds like something I'd only do on the sim... but its worth trying. I've managed to hold a 1 foot by 1 foot square in a piro hover IRL. But it almost always drifts a bit between stopping the piro and getting back to a stable hover. I find that a piro circle is almost easier.

Something that really helped me was listening to the tutorials that Bert and Bobby give on smacktalk and as far as pirouetting in a hover I just try to correct as the tail is in only and it seams to help. On the Phoenix
